To operate a good installation of the gear motor EPO
follow these instructions:
Make sure that the leaves of the gate are perfectly
horizontal.
Install temporary the supports “S1” and “S2” on the
operator.
Install the support “S1” using the pivot “P1”, making
attention to the mounting way (11 mm toward
the high, 13 toward the low,
fig. 1
), and using the
supplied screws and self-Lubrificate bushes (
fig. 1
).
Install the support “S2” loosing the screw “V” and
introduce the pivot “P” in its base “F” and fix the
security screw “V” (
fig. 2
).
Start the operator and move the pivot “P” axle up
700 mm from the back axle of the pivot “P1” (
fig.
3
).
Decide the maximum opening of the leaf, from 90°
to 120°, and consult the table (
fig. 3
).
Decide the vertical position you want to install the
operator.
Make sure that the operator is perfectly horizontal
and weld temporary the support “S1” to the column
of the gate, in the position as per table in fig. 3, and
the support “S2” to the leaf. (

).
If the column is not in iron material, weld the support
“S1” on the support “S3”, and fix it on the column by
special unsupplied screws (
fig. 4
).
Release the gear motors like explained in the par.
“Emergency or manual manoeuvre”, and carry out
a manual opening and closing to check the correct
position of the gear motor.
Dismantle the gear motor from the supports “S1”
and “S2”.
Fix definitively the supports “S1” and “S2” by a very
good welding.
Install the gear motor on the supports repeating the
above instructions.
Make the circuitry like in the control panel manual
and install the obligatory safety devices.
Teach the people intended for the use of the
automation about the controls, safety devices,
emergency manoeuvre and dangerousness deriving
from the utilize of the automation.
Compile the technical booklet and fulfil the eventual
obligations deriving from the regulations in force.

Version with water proof electrical limit switch’s
opening/closing, already installed and connected by
DASPI.
Install under the back pivot “P1” the pivot supporting
the cams “PC”, fixing it by supplied screw “V1” (
fig.
5
). Insert the limit switch cams “CM1.CM2” on the
pivot “PC”.
Adjust the cam “CM1” (up) carring out with a
manual manoeuvre the leaf in the maximum wished
opening position, turn the cam till to hear the click
of the limit switch.
Adjust the cam “CM2” (down) carring out with a
manual manoeuvre the leaf in closing position and
turn the cam till to hear the click of the limit switch.
Carry out an automatic manoeuvre to check the
correct position of the cams “CM1-CM2” and correct
if is necessary.
Fix the screws “V2” to block the cams.

Version with mechanical limit switch supplied
installed on the endless screw by DASPI.
Loose the grubs “G1-G2” screwed on stops “FM1-
FM2” (
fig. 6
).
Put with a manual manoeuvre the leaf in closing
position and turn the stop “FM1” till it touch the
female screw “C”, so fix the grub “G1”.
Put with a manual manoeuvre the leaf in the
maximum wished opening position and turn the
stop “FM2” till it touch the female screw “C”, so fix
the grub “G1”.
Carry out an automatic manoeuvre to check the
correct position of the stops “FM1-FM2” and correct
if is necessary.
We garantize the correct functioning of EPO/OPEN
and EPO/FIN-MECC versions only and exclusively if
provided by DASPI and only if combined with the
original control panel.
eMergenCy or Manual ManoeuVre
You have to do the emergency or manual manoeuvre
or during the installation, or only if the automation
does not work properly or if there is not power
supply.
CuT OFF THE POWEr SuPPLy.
Open the plug on the handle “LS” cover and insert
the supplied key “CH” (
fig. 7
).
Turn the key “CH” clockwise and putting the handle
in vertical position opens the gate manually.
In order to re-establish the normal functioning of
the automation, you have to put again the handle
“LS” in horizontal position and turn the key “CH”
anticlockwise, so take away the key and reinstall the
plug on the handle.
Place the key “CH” in a safety place known
exclusively from the people intended for the use of
the automation.
Switch on the power supply, pay attention that
there’s nobody where the gate is moving.
