Selecting a station
Manual.
Use the BAND button to select either AM or FM band. Press the UP or DOWN button to tune stepwise.
Pressing the UP or DOWN button for more than 1second will let you speed up the searching.
Selecting a preset.
Use the BAND button to select either AM or FM band.
Selecting preset M1 – M10: Press M1 to +10 to recall preset M1-M10.
Selecting preset M11-M10: Press the +10 button for 1 second, Now the display will show “Ch1_” . Use M1-
M9 to select preset M11-M19.
Selecting preset 20: Press the +10 button for 2 seconds.
Storing a station in Memory
Store with auto search.
Use the band button to select either AM or FM band. Now press the AUTO button The AUTO symbol on
the screen will blink. Click the UP or DOWN to start searching up or downwards. The stations received will
automatically be saved in preset M1-M20. The search will stop as either the band has been searched
completely or all presets are full. When the auto search is completed, preset M20 will be selected.
Store manually
Press the MEMO button. In the display the symbols MEM and CH__ will start blinking. Now use button
M1-+10 to store the preset in the desired memory location.
Mono/ Stereo switching
Press the mono key for toggling between MONO and Stereo mode. Stereo mode is for FM only. The
stereo function will be activated automatically with the Stereo symbol in the display blinking if the FM
stereo signal is strong enough. S/N ratio is better in Mono mode than in stereo mode.
Remote Data Link.
The IPS-PT can be controlled by an IPS-WPT. You can program the IPS-WPT to select presets of the IPS-PT.
Connect the DATA OUT port of the IPS-WPT to the DATA IN port of your IPS-PT by a suitable serial data
cable (9-pole female- female Sub-D wired 1 on 1).
