Communications
RS-485 is a two-wire bus interface compatible
with multi-drop network topology.
Terminate each segment at both ends, using the
termination switch (S801) of the drive module.
Always use screened twisted pair (STP) cable
for bus cabling, and always follow established
installation practices.
Low-impedance earth (ground) connection
of the screen at every node is important.
Therefore, connect a large surface of the screen
to earth (ground), for example with a cable clamp
or a conductive cable gland. It may be necessary
to apply potential-equalizing cables to maintain
the same earth (ground) potential throughout
the network, particularly in installations with
long cables.

A cable harness consisting of RS-485
communications and the interlock is shipped
with the compressors which is connected to the
CCM card at one end. The othe end needs to be
connected to the drive module control board.
Figure 48 provides connection details of each
color coded wire to the corresponding terminal
on the control board.
