6. If this process fails then the RZ1
PROG LED
will flash

fast. To acknowledge this press the
PROG
button. The
LED
will
return to
RED
, indicating that it has returned to programme
mode.
7. In the event of the RZ1 failing to join an existing network as a
secondary controller, the RZ1 will need to have its home and
node ID reset back to their default conditions by carrying out
a complete system reset by following the process laid out in
section 7.
4.5 Excluding the RZ1 as a secondary controller
to a network
To exclude your RZ1 from a network where it has been added as a
secondary controller, follow the steps below:
1. Place the RZ1 into programme mode by pressing the
PROG
button (Programme
LED
will turn
RED
).
2. Activate the exclude/unbind initiator on the primary controller
in the network.
3. Press and hold the programme and channel buttons until the
RED LED
flashes slowly indicating that exclusion as a secondary
controller has been initiated.
4. The RZ1 will attempt to unbind from the network.
5. Once the RZ1 has successfully been excluded from the network,
endpoint information and channel information will be removed
and the programme
LED
will return to its continuously on
RED
state.
6. If a failure to exclude/unbind the RZ1 from the network occurs,
the programme LED will flash ORANGE fast. Acknowledge this
by pressing the programme button. Endpoint information and
channel information will be removed. And the channel LED will
return to a RED LED ON, indicating that it has returned to the
awaiting command programme mode.
