Manual cleaning (by separating the heat exchanger)
If cleaning in place is not sufficient, we recommend that the heat
exchanger is replaced through our special “exchange for new” ar-
rangement.

arrangement.
Tightening (in case of minor leaks)
In case of a minor leak the heat exchanger can be tightened to the
original compressed dimension. The bolts must not be slackened
or tightened indiscriminately. They must be loosened/tightened
alternately on the left and right side and in a crosswise pattern.
Loosening and tightening of tie bars in the heat exchanger can nor-
mally be accomplished with ratchet wrenches/spanners.
Measure and note that compressed dimension of the plate pack be-
fore loosening the tie bars. On the nameplate of the heat exchanger
you will find the minimum and maximum compressed dimension
of the plate pack.
If the heat exchanger is separated we recommend that you obtain
a separate instruction manual for the gasketed heat exchangers
from our sales department.
