The QuickCam GUI provides context sensitive help on all dialog boxes, providing
descriptions of specific fields as well as conceptual information related to those
fields.
For context sensitive help, place your cursor in the field where you want more
help and press
F1 .
or
Click
the Help button on the tab in QuickCam where you want more information.

For the complete Help, select Help — QuickCam Help on the QuickCam menu
bar. You can find topics from the Help by using the table of contents and search
tool.
Welcome to the Spyder3 GigE camera and DALSA QuickCam Quick Start
Guide. With the QuickCam application, you can begin imaging with your
Spyder3 GigE camera quickly and easily.
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
1. Camera power cable.
2. Cat 5 or Cat 6 Ethernet cables.
3. Intel PRO/1000 Ethernet card. Other gigabit Ethernet cards can be used but cause
slower data transmission.
4. A computer with the following minimum requirements:

Processor: AMD Athlon XP 2000+ or Intel 2.0 GHz
• Memory: 512 MB DDR RAM PC2700
• Motherboard: Mid-end without embedded graphic card
• VGA card: Nvidia GForce 2 or better (ATI not recommended)

Operating System: Windows 2000 (SP4) or Windows XP
5. Other necessary components of your system, including light sources, camera
mounts, lenses, encoders, etc.
