Shad-o-Scan 3001/4501 X-Ray Detector

Teledyne DALSA

Digital Time Delay Integration (DTDI)

Digital Time Delay Integration (DTDI) technology offers the possibility to increase the
sensitivity and enhance the contrast resolution of the Shad-o-Scan product for
industrial demanding applications.

Time Delay Integration functionality is integrated in the X-ray Processing Library
(XPL) SDK running on the host PC to allow the summing of a number of frames to a
frame buffer, synchronized to the system scanning motion, into a single frame with
increased sensitivity while maintaining excellent image sharpness.

Details about the XPL Time Delay Integration processing function
(TXP_MultiFrameDigitalTDI) can be found in the XPL manual.

In order to achieve a correct Digital TDI integrated images, the sensor

ReadOut

Direction

must be set to correspond with the detector scan direction. The sensor

ReadOut Direction

shall be set as shown in the figure below.
