10.2 Characteristics of the standard track
Firstly, the standard track can be viewed like any other track, and
the required picture count on this track can be set. Normally, those
cameras monitoring an area with an increased security standard
(e.g. the area around a cash register) are linked to the standard
track, as are those for which "single-track saving" is desired. An
essential difference between this track and the other track types is
that the pictures of the individual cameras are not recorded to a
common ring, but rather a separate ring is available for recording
for each camera. The set picture count is thus based on one camera
and one standard track.
10.2.1 Track length setting
This camera-specific partitioning must be taken into account with
the track length, i.e. the picture count per track. While the sum of
the picture count per camera must be set for tracks 1 through 3,
only the picture count of one camera is entered for the standard
track.
Example: The pictures of 3 cameras are all to be recorded at 2
pictures per second. The recording duration is to be 24
hours.
24 hours = 86 400 seconds.
At two pictures per second, 172 800 pictures (2 x 86
400) must be recorded per camera.
Setting for track 1, 2 or 3:
As the pictures of all 3 cameras are recorded to one track, the
picture count must be set to 518 400 (3 x 172 800).
