9.2 Plumbling. (Refer to the Tank Installation Diagram 9.21)
Plumbing must be done by a qualified person in accordance with the local water supply
regulations for main pressure storage tanks. However we recommend:
• Flush the water system thoroughly before fitting water tank and tempering valve. If
the water supply is of poor which caused the tampering valve to be block, fit an
additional filter or the strainer to the water inlet system.
• Drain pipe must be connected to the pressure and temperature relief valve. The
open end of the drain pipe must be connected to drain so that any discharge is visible
but will not cause damage or scalding.
• Installation of pressure-reducing valve may be required if the maximum supply pressure
can exceed the limit marked on the product label.
• Fitting an isolating and non return valve.
• Use high quality insulation on the hot water lines to minimize heat loss.
• Strictly no PVC is allowed for both cold water inlet and hot water outlet piping.
