Installin g indoor unit.
3-1. Ri g ht-side, ri g ht-back, or ri g ht-bottom pipin g .
1) Attach the drain hose to the u nderside of the refrigerant pipes
w ith adhesi v e v inyl tape.
2) W rap the refrigerant pipes and drain hose together w ith
ins u lation tape.
3) Pass the drain hose and refrigerant pipes thro u gh the w all
hole, then set the indoor u nit on the mo u nting plate hooks b y
u sing the markings at the top of the indoor u nit as a g u ide.
4) Open the front panel, then open the ser v ice lid. (Rifer to
Installation Tips.)
5) Pass the interconnecting w ires from the o u tdoor u nit thro u gh
the feed-thro u gh w all hole and then thro u gh the b ack of the
indoor u nit. P u ll them thro u gh the front side.
Bend the ends of tie w ires u p w ard in ad v ance for easier w ork.
(If the interconnecting w ire ends are to b e stripped first, bu ndle
w ire ends w ith adhesi v e tape.)
6) Press the indoor u nit’s b ottom panel w ith b oth hands to set it
on the mo u nting plate hooks. Make s u re the w ires do not catch
on the edge of the indoor u nit.
3-2. Left-side, left-back, or left-bottom pipin g .
1) Attach the drain hose to the u nderside of the refrigerant pipes
w ith adhesi v e v inyl tape.
2) Be s u re to connect the drain hose to the drain port in place of
a drain pl u g.
3) Shape the refrigerant pipe along the pipe path
marking on the mo u nting plate.
4) Pass drain hose and refrigerant pipes thro u gh
the w all hole, then set the indoor u nit on
mo u nting plate hooks, u sing the markings at
the top of indoor u nit as a g u ide.
5) P u ll in the interconnecting w ires.
6) Connect the inter- u nit piping.
7) W rap the refrigerant pipes and drain hose together w ith
ins u lation tape as right fig u re, in case of setting the drain hose
thro u gh the b ack of the indoor u nit.
8 ) W hile exercising care so that the interconnecting w ires do not catch
indoor u nit, press the b ottom edge of indoor u nit w ith b oth hands u ntil
it is firmly ca u ght b y the mo u nting plate hooks. Sec u re indoor u nit to
the mo u nting plate w ith the scre w s (3/16” × 1/2”L (M4 × 12mm)).

Borin g a wall hole and installin g wall embedded pipe.
• For w alls containing metal frame or metal b oard, b e s u re to u se a w all
em b edded pipe and w all co v er in the feed-thro u gh hole to pre v ent
possi b le heat, electrical shock, or fire.
• Be s u re to ca u lk the gaps aro u nd the pipes w ith ca u lking material to
pre v ent w ater leakage.
1) Bore a feed-thro u gh hole of 3-1/ 8 inch ( 8 0mm) in the w all so it has a
do w n slope to w ard the o u tside.
2) Insert a w all pipe into the hole.
3) Insert a w all co v er into w all pipe.
4) After completing refrigerant piping, w iring, and drain piping, ca u lk pipe
hole gap w ith p u tty.
