Adding a number to the SIM card memory
You can save a new contact to the phonebook in three ways:
• while the unit is in stand-by, insert the number to be saved and press
(you will be asked to insert the name, the category and the group of this new
contact)
• while viewing the calls log (lost, incoming or outgoing) press and
confirm the menu item “ Phonebook ”
• access the phonebook menu by pressing the joystick while looking at any
contact in the phonebook, then confirm menu item number 2 (“ New ”). Insert
the data in the fields, than press to save the new contact. To insert a data
in a field, select the field with the joystick and press it to confirm the selection.

Whichever is the way you choose, the new contact will be saved in the currently
active phonebook (SIM card or unit memory); be sure to activate the one you
need before saving a new contact.
When all the needed fields have been filled in, press to save the new
contact and exit. To create a new contact at least one phone number or an e-
mail address must be saved - other fields are optional.
Searching for a name in your Phonebook
While looking at the phonebook list:
• Scroll through the names and make a selection by moving the joystick, or :
• Press the keys corresponding to the first characters of the name you are
looking for; as every key is pressed, the selection scrolls to the first contact
that complies with your request. If the contact that appears on the lower part
of the display is not the one you are looking for, insert one or more further
characters, or press to point the selection at that contact in the list and
scroll with the joystick to the one you want.
Press to call the selected number or send a new e-mail to the address
on the display.
