Dry Ironing
1.
Insert the mains plug into the nearest socket.
2.
Refer to the ironing instructions on the garment to be ironed.
3.
If the garment doesn’t have any ironing instructions but you
know the type of fabric used in the garment, use the guide on
the
Temperature Dial
(4).
4.
The
Indicator Light
(5) will illuminate whilst the iron is warming up and will go
out showing the iron is ready to use. The
Indicator Light
(5) will go on and off
during use, this is quite normal.
5.
Fabrics with special finishes such as polishing, pleats etc. should be ironed at
the lowest temperature setting.
6.
With mixed fibres always select the lowest applicable temperature.
7.
Group items with similar fibres together, as the iron heats up faster than it
cools, start ironing items requiring the lowest temperature first.
Steam Ironing
1.
Ensure the mains plug is not plugged in.
2.
Turn the temperature dial to the maximum (
●●●)
position.
3.
Fill the water tank through the
Tank Filling Spout
(2).
4.
If your area has hard water it is advisable to use only distilled or demineralised
water, otherwise white, Calcium deposits will form.
5.
Insert the mains plug into the nearest socket.
6.
The
Indicator Light
(5) will illuminate whilst the iron is warming up and will go
out showing the iron is ready to use. The
Indicator Light
(5) will go on and off
during use, this is quite normal.
7.
Press the
Steam Button
(3) to release steam from the
Soleplate
(1).
Do not store the iron with water in the water tank.
Care and Maintenance
•
Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance, ensure that the steam iron is
unplugged from the mains power supply and has fully cooled.
•
Wipe the soleplate with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly, after pouring off
any remaining water. The body of the iron can also be wiped down with a soft
damp cloth, do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning products.
