Replacing the Filter (2)
Care and Use of Your Kettle
•
Ensure the mains plug is removed from the socket outlet before cleaning.
•
Do not immerse the kettle or the base in water or any other liquids.
•
Wipe the kettle clean with a clean damp cloth.
•
Do not use harsh or abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners.
•
Do not clean any part of the kettle in a dishwasher.

Kettle not boiling
On/Off Switch (6) is not
pressed down.
Press the On/Off Switch (6) down.
Plug not inserted into the
mains socket and/or not
switched on.
Ensure the mains plug is plugged
into the mains socket and the socket
is switched on.
Kettle not seated on the
base correctly.
Ensure the Kettle is seated correctly
on the Base (7).
Fuse blown in plug.
Check fuse by substitution.
Kettle switches off
before boiling.
Not enough water in the
Kettle.
Ensure the Kettle is filled with
sufficient water and the water level
is above the
‘MIN’ mark on the
Water Gauge (5).
Kettle requires descaling.
Follow ‘Descaling your
Kensington
Kettle’ above
.
The
Filter
(2) is located inside the kettle
behind the
Spout
(1) and is accessible
from inside the kettle when the
Lid
(3)
is removed.
Remove the
Lid
(3) using the handle.
Pull out the
Filter
(2) upwards as
shown left.
Replace the
Filter
(2) by pushing it back
inside the kettle behind the
Spout
(1)
and then replace the
Lid
(3).
