Replacing the Filter (10)
Care and Use of Your Kettle
•
Ensure the mains plug is removed from the socket outlet before cleaning.
•
Do not immerse the kettle or the base in water or any other liquids.
•
Wipe the kettle clean with a clean damp cloth.
•
Do not use harsh or abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners.
•
Do not clean in a dishwasher.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead
and should the fuse needed replacing, you must use an ASTA approved one
(conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating). Never use a plug with the fuse
cover missing. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
If you need to remove the plug -
DISCONNECT FROM THE MAINS
- and then cut it
off the mains lead and immediately dispose of it safely. Never attempt to reuse
the plug or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of electric shock.

Allow the kettle to boil, switch off and then stand to allow the
kettle to soak for approximately 15
–
20 minutes, (if necessary,
adjust the standing time to the descaling products
instructions).
Finally, empty the kettle and refill with fresh clean water and
allow to come to the boil and switch off once more, then again
pour the water away. Your kettle is now descaled and cleaned.
The
Filter
(4) is located behind the
Spout
(1)
and is accessible from inside the kettle when
the
Lid
(5) is raised.
To lift the
Lid
(5), press the
Lid Release
Catch
(6), then press the
Filter
(4)
downwards and gently lift out.
Replace the
Filter
(4) by pushing it back
inside the kettle behind the
Spout
(1).
