022-00028AE Operation and Maintenance Manual

   Operation 3-17

BOOM LOWER KICKOUT (OPTION)

Placing bucket lever in "L" position will lock
control lever in lower boom position. Boom will
move downward until trip plate (2, Figure 40)
makes contact with bucket lower limit switch (1).
When limit switch is tripped, boom will stop
lowering and bucket lever will automatically be
returned to "NEUTRAL" position. Trip plate can
be adjusted to control maximum height that
boom can be lowered.

IMPORTANT

Trip plate must always be set to contact
limit switch before boom cylinders reach
maximum extension. Maximum extension
causes pump to force fluid over relief
valve.
