Most likely you’ll be adding some skein ties in three or four places
around your skein and pulling it off the arm posts. Testing showed that
you can usually simply slide the yarn off without having to move an
arm post to release it, especially if you move the skein over in one or
two motions. If it’s a huge skein and under heavy tension, feel free to
loosen (turn counterclockwise when viewed from the rear) one arm
post knob and slide it down the arm (just be sure to move the arm
post back before the next skein).
