Settings
D-Link DWS-4000 Series switch provides Terminal Access Controller Access Control System () client
support. provides centralized security for validation of users accessing the device.
provides a centralized user management system, while still retaining consistency with RADIUS and
other authentication processes. provides the following services:

Authentication:
Provides authentication during login and via user names and user-defined passwords.
•
Authorization:
Performed at login. Once the authentication session is completed, an authorization
session starts using the authenticated user name. The server checks the user privileges.
The protocol ensures network security through encrypted protocol exchanges between the device
and server.
Configuration
The Configuration page contains the settings for communication between the switch and
the server you configure.
To display the Configuration page, click
LAN > Security
> Configuration
in the navigation
menu.

• If you make any changes to the page, click
Submit
to apply the new settings to the system.

Key String
Specifies the authentication and encryption key for communications
between the device and the server. The valid range is 0-128
characters. The key must match the key configured on the server.
Connection Timeout
The maximum number of seconds allowed to establish a TCP connection
between the device and the server.
