disable syslog

Purpose

Used to disable the system log to be sent to a remote host.

Syntax

disable syslog

Description

This command is used to disable the system log to be sent to a
remote host.

Parameters

None.

Restrictions

Only Administrator level or Operator level users can issue this
command.

Example usage:

To disable the syslog function on the Switch:

DES-1228/ME:5#disable syslog

Command: disable syslog

Success.

Purpose

Used to display the syslog protocol status as enabled or disabled.

Syntax

show syslog

Description

This command is used to display the syslog status as enabled or
disabled.
