Configuring User Accounts
User accounts including user passwords and access rights are defined on the
User Accounts Page
. To define user account
information:
1.
Click
Configuration > User Accounts
. The
User Accounts Page
opens:

The User Accounts Page contains the following fields:
Field
Description
User Name
Defines the user name. The user name can contain up-to
15
characters.
New Password
Defines the password assigned to the user account. The password can contain up-to
15
characters.
Access Right
Displays the user access level. The possible field values are:
Admin —
Assigns the user full administrative access through both the Web Interface and
the CLI.
Operator —
Assigns the user operator-level access, which is similar to Admin access
except that the operator cannot update the firmware, startup configuration, user accounts,
or restore factory reset.
User —
Assigns the user read-only access through the CLI only. A
User
cannot access the
Web Interface.
Confirm New Password
Confirms the user password.

Define the
User Name
field.
3.
Select the user access level in the
Access Right
field.
4.
Enter a new password in the
New Password
field and then re-enter it again in the
Confirm New Password
field.
5.
Click
. The new user accounts, passwords, and access rights are defined and the device is updated.
