5.3 Unpacking

5.3.1 Unpacking Precautions

When the CEGC is unpacked, please do the following:

Follow the anti-static precautions outlined in Section 5.1.

Make sure the packing box is facing upwards so the CEGC does not fall out of

the box.

Make sure all the components in the checklist shown in

Chapter 3

are

present.

NOTE:

If some of the components listed in the checklist in

Chapter 3

are

missing, please do not proceed with the installation. Contact a

CyberResearch sales representative directly. To contact a sales

representative, please send an email to [email protected].

5.4 CPU, CPU Cooling Kit and DIMM Installation

WARNING:

A CPU should never be turned on without the specified cooling kit

being installed. If the cooling kit (heat sink and fan) is not properly

installed and the system turned on, permanent damage to the CPU,

CEGC and other electronic components attached to the system may be

incurred. Running a CPU without a cooling kit may also result in injury

to the user.
