Or when the power is turned off in the middle of refreshing, it becomes 
impossible to boot the computer. Therefore, if your computer is 
working well with the current BIOS file, avoid upgrading BIOS. 
 
How to upgrade BIOS using the BIOS flash utility program for 
Windows: 
 

1. 

First, download an upgraded BIOS file (R862-XXX.BIN) and BIOS 

flash utility program for Windows (Flash.exe & Winflash.sys) at our 
Web site (www.rise.com.tw). 

 

[For reference] 

You can also find a BIOS flash utility for Windows in the ‘Software 
installation’ folder on the Cybernet Manufacturing, Inc. Master CD that is 
included with this product. 
   

2. 

Move to the directory where the downloaded file is located and 

execute the BIOS flash utility program (Flash.exe).
