4. INSTALLATION
4.1. PLACE OF INSTALLATION.
The central vacuum must be installed by qualified and authorised staff, who are familiar with the
prerequisites for carrying out an effective installation of the unit in terms of location and positioning.
The location selected needs to be well-lit to facilitate easy maintenance. The room in which the central
vacuum unit is located should be adequately ventilated, protected from the elements and away from
sources of heat and excessive humidity. The installation should always be planned to facilitate the
exhausting of air from the appliance to the outside.
Should you be unsure regarding any aspects of the installation, don’t hesitate to get in contact with the
Technical Department of CVTech, the owner of the brand, who will be pleased to assist.
4.2. ATTACHING THE CENTRAL VACUUM UNIT TO THE WALL.
The central vacuum unit is fixed to the wall by means of the mounting bracket supplied for this purpose.
Ensure that it is firmly secured to the wall using appropriate screws taking into consideration that the
bracket needs to bear the weight of the machine and the full dust container. The unit should be installed
at a height sufficient to allow for maintenance to be carried out safely and efficiently.
4.3. CONNECTION OF THE PIPE NETWORK.
When connecting the central vacuum unit to the pipe network always ensure it is possible to dismantle
the connection so that any possible maintenance or repairs to the central vacuum unit can be carried out
without needing to cut pipes. Never glue the connection to the pipe network.
4.4. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION.
Always check that the voltage of your electrical supply corresponds to that recommended by the manufacturer
(refer to the central vacuum’s technical specification plate.).
5. OPERATING THE CENTRAL VACUUM UNIT.
5.1. STARTING TO USE THE CENTRAL VACUUM UNIT.
Your appliance leaves the factory ready for use. It does not require adjustment or commissioning.
When you plug it in and switch it on the central vacuum is ready for use.
5.2.OPERATING THE CENTRAL VACUUM UNIT.
Connect the wand and the tool for the specific cleaning task you want to carry out to the hose handle.
Connect the other end of the hose to the vacuum sweep inlet and the system will start to work automatically.
Once you have finished cleaning simply disconnect the hose from the inlet valve and the central vacuum
unit will automatically stop working.
5.3. PERMITTED USES
This central vacuum unit has been designed exclusively to vacuum micro-dust, small clumps of dirt and
other dry materials. It is not designed to vacuum liquids (unless with a liquid separator), plaster or rubble,
flammable substances (such as petrol, solvents, acids etc.) explosive substances such as gunpowder,
substances that might cause explosions when mixed with air, incandescent items such as smouldering
pieces of wood or cigarette butts or toxic substances such as photocopier toner or asbestos. You should
not vacuum in an environment where there is a presence of petrol fumes, solvents or explosive gases.
Under no circumstances should you vacuum without the filter cartridge in place.
