Manual for building the BRITANNIC
in her White Star Line livery
____________________________________________________________
BEFORE STARTING TO BUILD READ THE OPTIONALS CAREFULLY
For building your Britannic model
you can also follow the original manual but you
have to replace the original Titanic parts with parts from this Britannic set. As a
result of this, some parts may look different then as seen in the manual
1;
At step 13 skip the first part as part B58 is not in use in Britannic’s paper model
and continue building part B48.
2; At step 25 do
not
place cranes at the boat deck since they were removed on
the Britannic, this is the same with the cargo hatches beneath these cranes.
3; Skip step 26 this will be done later.
4;
Then skip 32 until later. First cut out parts C1 and 12.
Fold parts in shape and
glue onto the aft deck as shown on the schematic on the left.
Glue part C 12 here. If this is done, paste C1 onto C12.
Then build two engine houses using part C10 past them on
the marked spaces on part C12, then do step 26 of the
original manual and glue part B78 in place on top of
part C12.
This place is used in the HMHS version, not in the RMS version
*optional
attach optional nylon threads for rigging trough the
roofs and decks (C1 & 12) before glueing. The threads will be
tight to the aft mast. Keep the lifeboat storage in mind.
Part C5/11
Part C3/4
5;
Cut parts C3 , 4, 5 and C11, fold and glue into shape, this is done three times.
When the connected parts are dry paste one of them before the last funnel and the
2nd behind the last funnel and the third (smaller one) on top of part C12 at the aft
open slots
