Cooling operation: how it works

Cooling systems reduce the air temperature by evaporating water into the air stream. The controller can
handle many cooling systems.

Cool cells or pads

A cool cell output operates a pump used to circulate water in an evaporative pad.

High pressure mister or fogger

A high pressure mister or fogger output operates a high pressure pump which creates a gentle mist by
forcing water through a set of nozzles.

Mister or Dripper

A dripper or mister output operates a valve that allows water into a drip nozzle line

Cooling operation

A cooling output starts operating in timer mode when the average temperature reaches the start tempera-
ture. The On time portion of the timer then increases as the temperature rises and reaches the Max On
Time value as the house/barn temperature reaches the Max Temperature. The following graph sums up
this situation:
