Berry Cherry Smoothie
This kid-friendly smoothie is a
vitamin-packed way to start the day.
Makes about 4 cups (1 L)

cups (125 ml) orange juice

cup (125 ml) plain yogurt

hulled and halved

Kale Smoothie
Green smoothies are all the rage for good reason –
they are packed with nutrients and are a great way to
start the day. This is what we like to call the beginner’s
smoothie, for the mango and strawberries add just the
right amount of sweetness to balance out the kale.
Makes about 2½ cups (625 ml)

cup (250 ml) almond milk, or orange juice
4
stems locinato kale, trimmed of hard stems
and cut into 2-inch (5 cm) pieces [2 cups
(500 ml) chopped]

medium apple, cored and cut into 1-inch
(2.5 cm) pieces
½
cup (125 ml) frozen mango
½
cup (125 ml) frozen strawberries
1. Put all ingredients into blender jar in the order
listed.
2. Blend on High until completely smooth and
bright green, for 1½ minutes.
3. Serve immediately.
