These helpful hints are intended to be a supplement to the Instruction Booklet.
In order to ensure proper operation and optimum performance, please read the
entire Instruction Booklet.
When blending thick items like hummus and other heavier recipes, the indicated speed
may be too low. If the ingredients in the blender do not move, slowly increase speed to
the next level, and /or add additional liquid to help start the blending process.
When the LCD screen reads” Press Turbo” it means the motor has encountered a heavy
load. Pressing Turbo will give the blender a boost of power needed to continue blending.
Your blender has a built -in overheating protection system. It will stop blending to protect
against overheating and display “turn unit off and read your manual”. If this happens,
unplug the blender and allow it to rest for about 15 minutes before continuing to blend.

PULSE.
When the blender is running
at speed 1–10 pressing and releasing
the PULSE control will let you pulse
ingredients, on and off.

TIMER.
Use the up and down arrows
to set/adjust blending time when using
the speed control knob. You can adjust
time in one-second intervals by pressing
and releasing, or press and hold to scroll
through time more quickly.

MEMORY FEATURE.
The Hurricane
™
Pro
has a unique MEMORY Function. It allows
you to adjust/customize the timing on all
the preset functions (Smoothie, Ice Crush,
Soup & Clean) to suit your personal needs,
and will memorize that setting. To use
this feature, select a preset function, and
use the timer arrows to adjust the preset
program timing up or down. Once you have
set your desired timing, press the START
button to activate. Your memorized setting
will be set and saved unless you power off
or unplug your blender, which will bring you
back to the default settings.

SMOOTHIE.
Your blender offers two preset
SMOOTHIE options. When SELECT SPEED
OR FUNCTION appears in the display,
press the SMOOTHIE button once for
Fruit Smoothie (45– second run time) or
press a second time for Green Smoothie
(90–second run time). When your selection
appears in display, press START/STOP to
begin blending. Time will count down in the
LCD screen.

blending times.
Use the Fruit Smoothie function for most
smoothies and drinks. The Green Smoothie
function is specifically designed for harder-
to-process ingredients, like fibrous leafy
greens and fruits with tiny seeds, such
as berries.

SOUP.
The SOUP preset runs for 6
minutes, ideal for processing and heating
ingredients. Be sure not to exceed the
MAX FILL LINE when adding ingredients.

PAUSE.
While blending in any preset
function, press the active button to pause
blending. Press the button a second time
to reactivate the function.
To Reset The Unit
Your blender is equipped with a Resettable
Thermal Protector to protect the motor.
If the motor shuts down, unplug
the blender.
Let the blender rest for
approximately 15 minutes. Once the resting
period has elapsed, plug the power cord
back into the outlet and continue blending.
If your blender does not function properly
following this procedure, discontinue use
and contact a certified Cuisinart Consumer
Service Center.

PANEL DE CONTROL

Pantalla LCD con cuenta regresiva
Pantalla digital iluminada que muestra el
programa usado, el tiempo restante y la
velocidad elegida, para una operación paso
a paso simple. NOTA: la pantalla se apagará
después de 15 minutos de inactividad.

Botón START/STOP
Presione el botón START/STOP para empezar
la licuar. Presiónelo otra vez para interrumpir
el licuado.
3.
Botón SMOOTHIE (batidos/licuados/
smoothies)
Con dos opciones pre-programadas: FRUIT
SMOOTHIE (smoothie de fruta) o GREEN
SMOOTHIE (smoothie verde).
4.
Botón ICE CRUSH (hielo picado)
Pre-programado para picar hielo en segundos.
5.
Botón SOUP (sopas/cremas)
Pre-programado para licuar sopas/cremas
calientes.
6.
Botón PULSE (encendido intermitente)
Permite pulsar a cualquier velocidad.
7.
Botón CLEAN (limpieza automática)
Un ciclo pre-programado de 30 segundos que
permite limpiar la jarra y la cuchilla después de
cada uso.
8.
Temporizador/Función de memoria
Las flechas permiten fijar el tiempo exacto
de licuado, para licuar los ingredientes de
acuerdo a sus preferencias.
*Nota: La función pre-programada para sopas/
cremas sólo se puede ajustar de 6 minutos a
menos. El ajuste personalizado se grabará en la
memoria a menos que la unidad se apague o se
desenchufe.
