After power up, the touch screen does not work.
1. If the PowerStation appears to be operating correctly otherwise, reboot
the unit.
2. The touch screen calibration might be in error. See Calibrating the
Touch Screen on page 33 to calibrate the touch screen.
3. Check the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. See Resolving AUTOEXEC.BAT
and CONFIG.SYS problems on page 59 for more information.
a. Verify that the touch screen drivers are being loaded. Look for the
following lines:
SET TCHPATH=C:\ATS
C:\ATS\ATSMOUSE
b. Verify that a serial mouse driver such as MOUSE.COM is not be-
ing loaded before the touch screen driver. Look for the following
line:
C:\MOUSE.COM
4. If the problem persists, contact your CTC equipment supplier or
CTC’s technical support for assistance.
After calibrating the touch screen, it either does not work or follow
your finger.
1. Make sure a serial mouse is not connected to the unit. The touch screen
will NOT work with a serial mouse.
2. Make sure that you are using a Microsoft PS/2 mouse and the supplied
Y adapter cable to connect the mouse to the keyboard port.
3. Check the touch screen cable.
a. Make sure the touch screen cable has been properly connected.
Pin1 must be connected to Pin1.
b. Inspect the touch screen cable for broken, loose, or frayed wiring.
If you encounter wiring problems, replace the touch screen follow-
ing the procedure on page 55.
4. Replace the touch screen following the procedure on page 55.
5. If the problem persists, contact your CTC equipment supplier or
CTC’s technical support for assistance.
