Replacing the Touch Screen
Occasionally you will need to replace the P1 PowerStation’s touch screen,
depending on the environment where you are operating the unit. Although
the PowerStation’s touch screen can be replaced without removing the unit
from its enclosure, it is much easier to replace the touch screen if you
remove the unit from its enclosure. Follow these steps to replace the touch
screen:
1. Unpack the replacement touch screen, and examine it for damage or
defects.
2. To remove the old touch screen, perform steps 1 through 7 of the dis-
assembly procedures described beginning on page 51.
Note If you are replacing the touch screen without removing the unit from
its enclosure, skip steps 3 and 4 of the above referenced steps on
page 50.
3. To install the new touch screen, perform steps 6 through 13 of the re-
assembly procedure beginning on page 58.
Note If you are installing the new touch screen without removing the unit
from its enclosure, skip step 11 of the above referenced steps on
page 59.
Replacing the Backlight Bulb
Backlight bulb life is determined by the number of hours in continuous
use. The P1 PowerStation’s backlight bulb has an average life expectancy
of 10,000 hours or 416 days (24 hours/day). The PowerStation’s backlight
bulb is designed to be replaced without removing the unit from its enclo-
sure. Follow these steps to replace the backlight bulb:
1. Unpack the replacement backlight bulb, and examine it for damage or
defects.
2. To remove the touch screen perform steps 1 through 7 of the disassem-
bly procedures described beginning on page 51.
