CS208 Firmware Upgrade

5.6.1

Firmware Upgrade Overview

User can have an overview of the files required for the firmware upgrade of the CS208 and the

upgrade procedure in sequence.

The CSL CS208 Firmware Upgrade procedure is

important for users for their CS208 RFID Reader upgrade. Incorrect firmware upgrade

procedure may lead to system halt and may not be unrecoverable.

5.6.1.1

CS208 Firmware Upgrade Flow Diagram

The flow diagram below shows the priority of firmware upgrade steps starting from device

application, operating system and bootloader.

User MUST follow the sequence for multiple

firmware upgrades.

Firmware Upgrade for CS208 Device Application

1. CS208 power up and in connection with PC via Ethernet
2. Open upgrade firmware in PC

(Use PC upgrade software 1.0.6 for

CS208Device1.0.16 after

)

3. Choose the latest device firmware and upgrade
4. When the upgrade process is finished, reboot the reader automatically

5. Keep the PC upgrade software ON and WAIT until CS208 is reconnected

CS208 power up and in connection with PC via Ethernet

Open upgrade firmware in PC

Choose the latest OS firmware and upgrade

When the upgrade process is finished, the reader reboots automatically
