B. TESTING FOR LEAKS.
Unit leakage may effect its performance and cause an excessive use of
powder. The following service tips should be observed:
1) To check for total system leakage, turn on air pressure until the system is
pressurized. Shut off the external air supply valve and observe the Air
Pressure Gauge. If pressure does not drop more than 15 psi during five
minutes, the system leakage is less than one cubic foot per hour, and
leaks within the unit are negligible.
2) Ear, touch, or the use of soap and water traces most leaks.
3) To check for leakage at the Auxiliary Chamber Top Cover, have the
chamber pressurized, and apply soap and water. Look for leakage
bubbles. DO NOT remove chamber top until all traces of the soap and
water solution are removed.
4) Auxiliary Chamber Top Cover O-ring and Mixing Chamber Gasket are
subject to leakage and over a period of time may require replacement.
5) With the system pressurized and the Abrasive Pinch Valve Tube closed,
leakage through the Abrasive Pinch Valve Tube should not exceed three
bubbles per second with the nozzle tip immersed in water.
6) With the system pressurized and the Bleed Off Pinch Valve Tube closed,
leakage through the Bleed Off Pinch Valve Tube should not exceed three
bubbles per second with the end of the bleed off hose immersed in water.
4.6 TROUBLESHOOTING
The following troubleshooting guide is to aid in repairing a unit, which is
malfunctioning.
A. PROBLEM: With Power switch ON, Green Indicator Light does not light.
POSSIBLE CAUSE: SERVICE:
1) Blown fuse(s)
2) Light burnt out
3) No input power.
4) Power switch
inoperative
1) Remove the power cord and replace
fuse(s).
2) Replace Light
3) Check external input power and cord
connections.
4) Replace switch.
B. PROBLEM: With Power switch ON and external air source connected to unit,
rotation of Air Pressure Knob does not change pressure reading on Air
Pressure Gauge.
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Inoperative air pressure regulator or Check Valve.
