6. Maintenance and cleaning
Note:
Make sure that the main switch (fig. 2 no. 12 & 14) is at OFF before you begin maintenance.

6.2. Oil change
Empty the oil as long as the engine is still warm in order to guarantee
a quick and complete drainage.
1. Remove the oil drain screw (fig. 14, no. 18) and the oil cap (fig.
14, no. 15) and drain the oil. Retighten the screw (fig. 14, no. 18)
including a new seal.
2. Fill the engine oil with the recommended quality
(see fig. 6.1) and check the oil level.
Oil fill capacity: 1.65 l
(slight deviation possible)
Caution:
Prolonged or repeated skin contact with used oil can cause skin cancer.Although the
risk is very low unless you come in contact with used oil on a daily basis, you should wash
your hands with soap and water as soon as possible after coming in
c
ontact with waste oil.
Note:
Dispose of the waste oil in an environmentally responsible way. We recommend handing over the waste oil
in a closed container to a local disposal company for recycling.You can find this under, e.g. http://www.wer-
entsorgt-was.de/entsorger_suche.html Do not dispose of the waste oil in the trash or by pouring it out.
6.3. Maintenance of air filter
A dirty air filter limits air flow into the engine. Maintain the air filter regularly to prevent the generator from malfunc-
tioning. If you use the generator is very dusty areas, you must clean the air filter more often. Carry out a visual in-
spection for dirt and damages before every use.
Warning!
Never use petrol or solvent with low flash point for cleaning the air filter. It can result
in fires or explosions.Follow the instructions and safety information on the packaging of the
solvent
