Product Information
The NC-NXS is the ‘central’ NexSys interface module that supports all
NexSys functions, including Load, AC and Line-Level Output Audio
Return Monitoring, Amplifier ID, Module ID, and NexSys-initiated
Sequential Turn-On/Off. It fits in the Network bay located on the rear
panel of Crest Audio CKS, CKV & CKX Series Power Processing
amplifiers.
The NC-NXS requires both an NC-IPN (or any other programmable
Input Processor NC Module) and a compatible Power/Output NC
Module. Connection to the NexSys data bus is via two 5mm three-pin
Phoenix connector. Data bus address selection is via two recessed rotary
switches. A Data LED indicates data signal presence.
Firmware is upgradable thru the NexSys system.
Architects and Engineers Specifications - NC-NXS.
The module shall plug into Crest Audio CKS or CKV Power Processing amplifiers in the
Network bay. The module shall provide a 5mm 3-pin Phoenix connector for connection to a
NexSys data bus and another for “daisy-chaining” to other amplifiers. Two rotary switches
shall assign the module a NexSys data bus address.
A green LED shall indicate when data is being sent from or received by the module. The
module shall require a Power/Output module which, by definition, provides the power sup-
ply required for the Network module. The module shall be fully compatible with NC-STI,
NC-SAC, and NC-SLM Power/Output modules. The module shall be designated the Crest
Audio model NC-NXS.
