Memory and Audio Quality

The amount of memory and MP3 quality are related. The higher the quality required, the higher 
the bitrate needed. This leads to more data storage and memory requirements. The amount of 
memory required for the NOMAD IIc player is proportional to audio playback time.

We recommend that you set your encoding bitrate at 128 kbps (see Figure A-1) for 
optimal quality when you create MP3 files from audio CDs.
