Control Knob Usage
Care and maintenance
Step 1 Lighting :
1- While making sure the control knob is in the off the position, open the gas valve on the
LP tank by slowly turning the handle counter-clockwise until fully open.
2- Push in and rotate the control knob counter clockwise to the PILOT Position. With Pilot lit,
Continue depressing the control know for at least 20 seconds to heat the thermo couple.
Note: If pilot does not ignite in 5 seconds, turn the control knob to the off position and wait 5
minutes to clear away any gas before retrying!
Note: For first lighting and every lighting after a new tank is installed- it might be necessary
to repeat step 2 multiple times to bleed air out of the line before gas flows to the pilot.
3- Slowly release the knob ensuring that the pilot remains lit, wait 5 seconds then continue to
slowly rotate counter-clockwise to adjust the flames to the desired height.

1. Do not use aerosol polish or any other flammable material to clean the burner while it is in use.
2. Inspect and clean the burner regularly. Use a wire bristle brush to clean the burner surface. A
straightened paper clip is useful to remove debris or rust from the small burner ports.
3. Wash frame parts with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely. Do not use
bleach, acid, or any other solvents on the frame parts.
4. Inspect and tighten all of the bolts and fasteners on a regular basis to ensure the proper
performance and safety of your appliance.
5. When not in use, we recommend that it be stored in a dry and secure area. Always disconnect
the LP gas tank first and store it safely outside.
6. The minimum clearance from the sides and rear of unit to adjacent combustible construction:
2 feet from sides and 2 feet from rear.
Important:
Use of your appliance causes carbon residue to build up on the glass inhibiting the airflow
and leading to a more yellow flame. Stir up the glass regularly to remove these deposits
and maintain a blue flame.
Step 2 Turning off/Shutting Down
1- Rotate the Control Knob clockwise until it stops.
2- To shut off the gas supply to the unit, rotate the handle at the top of the LP tank clockwise
until tight.
