Installing with Lap and Shoulder Belt
Place Child in
Seat
Child should sit
with their back flat
against the vehicle
seat and bottom flat
against the booster
seat.
Buckle Lap and
Shoulder Belt
Lap belt should
cross the child’s
upper thighs.
Buckle vehicle
belt. The shoulder
belt should lay
snugly across the
center of the child’s shoulders and across the
chest (not on the face or neck).
Pull up on the shoulder belt to tighten.
NOTE:
Make sure the lap and shoulder belt are
placed under armrest as shown.
Check periodically to ensure your child has
not moved out of position and loosened the
shoulder belt.

Place Booster Seat
Forward-Facing in
Vehicle
Center the booster seat
in the chosen seating
position. The back of the
booster seat should be
flat against the vehicle seat back.

E. Belt-Positioning Booster Use
The American Academy of Pediatrics
recommends that children remain in a
fi ve-point harness until they outgrow their
forward-facing harnessed child restraint.
This typically occurs around age 4, but
some children outgrow them sooner and
others not until later.
Please talk to your doctor about the best
option for your child.
