Lower Anchor Installation
WARNINGS:
Do not use
the lower anchors of the child
restraint anchorage system
(LATCH system) to attach this
child restraint when restraining a
child weighing more than 50 lbs
(22.6 kg).
The vehicle belt must be used for
installation if your child weighs
more than 50 lbs (22.6 kg).
Do not use the lower anchor belt
along with the vehicle lap or lap/
shoulder belt.
Check the lower anchor belt
before each use. Use only if the
belt can be tightened properly
and securely.

Remove
Lower Anchor
from Packaging
or Storage
Pull lower anchor
belt packaging
out of forward-facing belt path.
Remove lower anchor from
packaging. Discard the packaging.

Adjusting Tether Strap
To tighten:
After
the child restraint
is locked into place
with lower anchor
belt or vehicle belt,
push down on child restraint and
gently pull on free end of tether.
To loosen:
Lift up on
tether lock adjuster
and push it towards
tether hook.
Storing Tether Strap
When not in use,
secure the tether
hook to the tether
storage attach-
ment location at
the top of the shell, as shown.
Pull free
end to
tighten
Lift up
to loosen
Do not fasten multiple
lower anchor hooks on
the same lower anchor bar in the
vehicle.
Failure to follow these warnings
can result in serious injury or death.
