Explanation of safety symbols on the battery
Read this manual carefully.
Do not expose the battery to high temperatures
or fire.
Do not throw away the battery at the end of its
useful life, but return it to your dealer.
The materials in the battery can be recycled.
2 PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES AND
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
For safe cycling, read the instructions below carefully.
– Only turn on the bike once you have mounted. If you
accidentally push the pedals while walking with the
bike, the bicycle may start riding inadvertently.
– The system is not designed for use by persons with
diminished mental capacity, unless supervised or
instructed by someone who is responsible for their
safety.
– Children must not be allowed to play with the
battery.
– The system is earthed for functional purposes only.
– Do not open the battery. Take care not to damage it.
Do not attempt to disassemble it.
– Do not expose the battery to high temperatures or
fire.
– Do not charge the battery in the sun.
– Do not short circuit the system.
– Do not drop the battery. Protect the battery against
violent shocks.
– Use only the original charger. Also read the instruc-
tions supplied with the charger.
– Keep the battery clean and dry.
– Use the lights while cycling in the dark.
– Take care when mounting a child seat on the lug-
gage carrier. It can support a weight of up to 35 kg.
Ask your dealer which child seat is most suitable.
– Modifying the bicycle to increase the maximum
speed is prohibited.
– Store this documentation in a safe place.
