Remedy for Chemical/Foreign Objects in Lens 

If chemicals of any kind (household products, gardening solutions, laboratory chemicals, etc.) are 
splashed into your eyes: FLUSH EYES IMMEDIATELY WITH TAP WATER AND IMMEDIATELY 
CONSULT YOUR EYE CARE PRACTITIONER. 

11.  WEARING AND APPOINTMENT SCHEDULES 

Record here the number of hours your eye care practitioner recommends you wear the lenses each 
day during the adaption period. Typically, soft contact lens patients should be able to wear their 
lenses 6 hours the first day, 8 hours for the second day, 10 hours for the third day, 12 hours for the 
fourth day, 14 hours on the fifth day and to all waking hours on the sixth day. Build-up of wearing 
time is important and you must follow your eye care practitioner’s directions.
