Controls
Operation
WARNING:
To prevent blowing a fusible link on the
power outlet, only use with 12V auxiliary power outlet.
1.
Place the Power Switch and the LED Switch in their O
(off) positions. Plug into a 15A rated 12V auxiliary
power outlet ONLY.
2.
Note: This Car Heater can burn out lighter sockets if
used incorrectly. Always switch the engine on before
inserting the 12V plug.
3.
Mount on dashboard, or hold over windshield for spot
defrosting. Use for up to 20 minutes, and then shut off
for at least 5 minutes.
4.
The Car Heater can be removed from the Mounting Base. By holding the handle the Car Heater can be
moved around as needed.
5.
The LED Switch turns the lights on/off.
6.
To select either the fan only or the heater and fan, press the Power Switch to the setting as marked.
Toggle the Power Switch to the centre position to turn off these functions.
7.
WARNING! Do not operate longer than 20 minutes at one time, allow heater to cool completely after
use.
8.
Unplug the heater before leaving the vehicle.
WARNING! TO PREVENT FIRE: Replace fuse only with fuse of same type and rating.
1.
Pull the fuse out of the fuse holder. If the wire inside the fuse is broken the fuse needs to be replaced,
otherwise insert the fuse back into the holder and proceed to the next step.
2.
If the Heater fuse was not blown, connect another 12VDC device to the 12V auxiliary power outlet to
check it.
a. If the power outlet works, have the Heater serviced by a qualified technician.
b. If the power outlet does not work, DO NOT USE THIS HEATER WITH THAT POWER OUTLET.
That power outlet is evidently not rated to 15A, as this heater requires.
Note:
Check vehicle’s service manual for instructions on repairing the power outlet. Likely failure points are
the fusible link on the power outlet itself or the vehicle’s fuse.
