I P R A T I N G
"IP" stands for Ingress Protection and is a rating system established by
the European organization IEC, International Electrotechnical
Commission. Over 50 countries strong, this organization publishes
international standards for electrical products and other related
technologies. The two numbers proceeding the "IP" individually callout
the fixture’s protection ratings against solid objects (such as airborne
particulates) and moisture respectively.
