BATTERY OPTION
Tools Required:
None
1. Before installing the fixture to the wall, connect the
plug together in the back of the fixture housing. This
will turn on the LEDs with battery power. Connect
the UnSwitched wire (black wire with white stripe) to
electrical power that will not be switched off. When
power is turned on the LEDs will turn off and begin the
battery charging process.
2. Make wire connections per Figure 4B.
3. Once fixture is installed and electrical power is
connected, then the test switch can be depressed to
simulate a loss of power (to the Unswitched power
lead). This will turn on the LEDs with battery power
while the button is depressed.
5. Hang the top housing onto the wedge plate and tighten
the two set screws to 20 in-lbs (Figure 5).
6. Make conduit connections to the housing using outdoor
rated sealed conduit connections. Fixture option C1 has
½” NPT and C2 has ¾” NPT. Make power connections
in the top housing to the wire plug assembly wires.
See Figure 4A, 4B, or 4C for wire connections.
7. Install the fixture door. Hang the door by the two ball
end cables by routing the cables through the brackets
(Figure 7). Make the wire harness plug connection from
the top housing to the door.
8. Swing door to the closed position and tighten the eight
phillips flat head screws to 20 in-lbs. Use care not to
push on the lens to close the door.
