Temperature control
The temperature of the chiller is best maintained at around 0°C
to 5°C. It is recommended to use a fridge thermometer (not
supplied) to accurately monitor the internal temperature. Never
put hot items in the chiller.
The temperature control is situated at the back of the chiller
(Figure 4). When you switch the chiller on for the first time, turn
the thermostat to the ‘4’ position on the dial. This will give an
adequate level of cooling for a typical room.
Notes on operation
During normal operation the following noises may be heard:
O
Stifled murmur from compressor when it is working.
O
Soft gurgling from the refrigerant flowing through the cooling system.
O
Click from the thermostat switching on and off.

Maintenance and cleaning
Important
The chiller must be turned off at the mains before maintenance or cleaning
It is recommended to clean and wipe out the chiller after any spillage inside or outside the
appliance.
Use a teaspoonful of bicarbonate of soda diluted in a pint of warm water. Wipe the internal
surfaces and shelving to remove residues. Leave to dry before reloading.
Check that the condensation drain at the back of the cabinet is
clear (see Figure 5).
Finally, wipe the door seal.
The chiller automatically keeps a constant temperature.
Beware of the back wall as this may be cold to the touch.
External cleaning
Keep the motor and compressor at the back of the chiller free
from dust to maintain optimum efficiency. Use a soft brush or
vacuum cleaner to remove dust. Take care not to damage
wiring.
Wipe the outside casing from time to time.
When not in use
If the appliance is to be emptied and turned off for a long
period it is advisable to:
Disconnect the unit from the mains supply.
Empty the chiller.
Clean and dry the interior.
Leave the door open – do not close.
