5 First Use
Follow the instructions below to assem ble your Rennrad
fully and ensure that it is safe to use. If you are not
confident in your ability to carry out this work, contact a
bicycle dealer.
5.1 General
– Remove all protective caps and protective covers.
– Before your child uses the Rennrad, check that all the
screws and nuts are secure.
– Fit the handlebar and straighten it so that it is at a right
angle to the front wheel and tighten the stem properly.
– Adjust the front wheel brake and check the function of
the brake carefully before you allow your child to ride
the bike.
– To ensure that your child can take up a safe and
comfortable riding position, the saddle can be
adjusted individually.
– On page 64, you find the instructions of how to fit the
pedals and drive unit.
– Only allow your child to ride the Rennrad whilst
wearing a bicycle helmet.
