Remove spark plugs from each cylinder head. Clean and inspect the spark plugs
according to “Ignition and Spark Plug Maintenance” instructions in Chapter 9,
“Maintenance and Adjustments.” Rotate spark plugs from original locations during
installation.
7-3.11. FADEC Backup Battery Inspection
If a dedicated FADEC System backup battery is used as a secondary power source, it
must be replaced:
•
12 calendar months after the date of installation.
•
If the backup battery has been used for more than one (1) hour (emergency
operations).
•
If the backup battery is severely depleted.
•
If the EBAT FAIL light stays illuminated for more than 5 minutes on the HSA panel.
NOTE: Refer to airframe maintenance manual for the backup
battery removal and installation criteria.
Procedure
1.
Check the maintenance records in the log book for the backup battery installation
date. If the elapsed time is greater than 12 months, replace the battery according to
airframe manufacturer’s instructions.
2.
Disconnect the positive and negative battery terminals on the backup battery.
3.
Measure the battery voltage. If the voltage is less than 10 volts, replace the battery
according to airframe manufacturer’s instructions.
7-3.12. Fuel System Inspection
Engine operation and cooling are directly related to the correct fuel-air ratio. Improper
fuel settings can affect engine performance in terms of both power and throttle response.

Procedure
Inspect each fuel line to the connection point at the fuel distribution block for chafi
wear, or damage. Replace worn, chafed or damaged fuel lines with new fuel lines.
Remove, clean, and inspect the inline and
sections 7-3.12.1and 7-3.12.2 or 7-3.12.2.2.
Inspect the fuel line and fittings from the fuel pump outlet to the fuel di
manifold, including the fuel filter for wear or damage. Replace faulty parts.
