NOTE: If the Cylinder Borescope Inspection does not reveal a
faulty condition, fly the aircraft at a cruise power setting between
65 and 75 percent power, as specified in the Airplane Flight
Manual/Pilot’s Operating Handbook, for at least 45 minutes to
allow the engine oil and cylinder head temperatures to stabilize.
Repeat the Differential Pressure Test on the suspect cylinder(s).
To inspect the static seals of a cylinder that has been removed (and still has the spark
plug installed), invert the cylinder and fill the bore with nonflammable solvent and
inspect for leaks at the static seals. Replace any cylinder with static seal leaks.
