How to Operate
1. Plug power cord into 120 volt AC outlet.
2. Place
blade-end of
unit directly
into included
beaker or
bottom of
a tall
plastic
container holding ingredients to be blended.
3. Your
blender has
LO
and
HI
speeds for
quick blending.
Press the
LO
or
HI
switch
for continuous blending. Blending action stops when switch is released.
NOTE:
During use,
it is
normal for
a suction
to be
created at
the bottom
of the
container.
4. For a short “burst” of blending, quickly push and release the
LO
or
HI
switch.
5. After blending, unplug unit.
CAUTION:
Do not
use blender
in saucepan
directly on
stovetop. Remove
pan from
heat before
blending. To
avoid splatter
, never
lift blender
out of
hot ingredients
while
motor is on.
How to Clean Y
our Hand Blender
1. For
easy cleaning,
place blade-end
of unit
under hot,
running water
immediately
after blending is completed.
2. Wipe motor-end of handle with a damp cloth or sponge.
3. The
shaft, chopper
bowl, blade,
and beaker
are all
dishwasher safe.
Do not
put
the chopper cover in the dishwasher.
Tips
• For
thorough blending,
add liquid
portion of
recipe last
(such as
milk to
ice cream
for a
milk shake).
Exception: When
blending a
powdered mix
with a
liquid, add
liquid first and then powder (such as milk for a diet drink or water for a soup mix).
• When processing bread, cracker and cookie crumbs or chopping nuts, use a
covered container.
• Cut
all solids
(cooked meats,
vegetables and
fruit) into
approximately 1-inch
pieces before blending.
• Remember:
The blender
performs its
tasks in
seconds –
not minutes.
Stop blender
and check the consistency before contents become too fine or overblended.
• Do
not overtax
the motor
with extra-heavy
loads such
as stif
f dough,
cream
cheese dips or butter.
• If
blending action
in container
should stop
during processing
before mixture
is
smooth, unplug
unit and
remove ingredients
from blade
with rubber
spatula. Plug
in unit to complete blending.
• It
may be
necessary to
stop blending
action and
remove blade-end
from
ingredients and reinsert several times before mixture becomes smooth.
• To
make beverages
icy cold,
add one
ice
cube at
a time
(up to
6) to
an already
ENCHUFE POLARIZADO
Este artefacto electrodoméstico tiene un enchufe polarizado (una pata es más
ancha que la otra). Como una característica de seguridad, este enchufe encajará
en un tomacorriente polarizado solamente de una manera; si no entra totalmente,
invierta el enchufe. Si tampoco entra, comuníquese con un electricista calificado.
No intente modificar el enchufe de ninguna manera. Si el enchufe queda
suelto en el tomacorriente de CA o si el tomacorriente se calienta, no use ese
tomacorriente.
Como usar su licuadora de mano
1. Enchufe el cordón a un tomacorriente de 120 voltios de CA.
2. Coloque el extremo de la unidad que tiene las cuchillas directamente en el fondo
de un contenedor alto de plástico que contenga los ingredientes por mezclarse.
3. La licuadora tiene dos velocidades baja (LO) y alta (HI) para licuado rápido.
Para un licuado continuo, presione cualquiera de esos dos botones y suéltelo para
que se detenga.
NOTA:
Durante la operación se crea una succión en el fondo del contenedor. Esto
es normal.
4. Para una operación corta, presione y suelte inmediatamente el botón de
velocidad baja
(LO)
o alta
(HI).
5. Desenchufe la unidad después de terminar.
PRECAUCIÓN:
No use la licuadora en una olla o sartén directamente sobre la
cocina, retírela. Para evitar salpicaduras, no haga funcionar la licuadora de mano
si las cuchillas no están sumergidas en los ingredientes calientes.
Cómo limpiar su licuadora de mano
Desenchufe la unidad.
CUIDADO:
Nunca coloque el mango de la unidad (que
contiene el motor) en agua ni otro líquido ni la coloque en el lavavajillas.
1. Para facilitar su limpieza, inmediatamente después de usar la unidad, coloque
las cuchillas debajo del chorro de agua caliente.
2. Frote el mango (con el motor) con un paño o esponja húmeda.
3. El eje, tazón, cuchilla y el vaso son aptos para lavavajillas.
Consejos
• Para un buen licuado, agregue el líquido de la receta al final (tal como leche al
helado para el batido). Excepción: Cuando se mezcle un ingrediente en polvo
con un líquido, eche primero el líquido y después el polvo (p. ej.: leche para un
trapo dietético o agua para una sopa).
• Para procesar trozos de pan, galletas o nueces, use un contenedor plástico con
tapa o tapado con una bolsa plástica gruesa segura para los alimentos.
• Antes de licuar o mezclar los ingredientes sólidos (carnes cocidas, verduras o
frutas), córtelos en trozos de aproximadamente 2,5 cm. (1”).
• Recuerde: la licuadora realiza su trabajo en segundos, no en minutos. Detenga la
licuadora, verifique la consistencia del contenido antes que se vuelva demasiado
fino o aguado.
• No fuerce el motor con cargas demasiado pesadas, tales como masa dura,
salsas de crema de queso o mantequilla.
