MICROWAVE RADIATION 
1. The high voltage capacitor remains charged after disconnection. Short-circuit

the negative terminal of the high voltage capacitor with the oven frame (using a 

screwdriver) to discharge the capacitor before reaching the furnace. 
2. During repairs where the parts listed below can be removed, it can give

access to potentials above 250V with respect to the earth. 
● Magnetron
● High Voltage Transformer
● high voltage capacitor
● high voltage diode
● high voltage fuse
3. The following situations can cause excessive exposure to microwave for

repair. 
Incorrect assembly of the magnetron. 
Incorrect assembly of the door locks, door hinges or door. Incorrect assembly of the 
switch supports. 
The door, the door seal or enclosure has been damaged.
