Handling
• Never switch on the device or connect it to a mains socket right after it was taken from a cold to a warm room.
The resulting condensation may destroy the device.
Let the device reach room temperature before plugging it in and switching it on. Wait until the condensation has
evaporated.
• Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable.
• Always pull it from the socket using the intended grips.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket when you are not using the device. To ensure sufficient
ventilation, the subwoofer must never be covered. Air circulation also must not be impaired by objects like
magazines, tablecloths, curtains, etc. Keep an area of at least 15 cm around the device clear during operation.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in thunderstorms for reasons of safety.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for any extended period. This may damage your hearing.
Maintenance
Regularly verify technical safety of the subwoofer, e.g. for damage to the mains cable and casing.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, switch off the device and secure it against inadvertent
operation. Pull the mains plug from the socket!
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• the device is visibly damaged
• the device no longer works
• the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for an extended period of time or
• if the device was subjected to heavy stress during transport
