• Connect the RJ45 network connector on the back of the IP powerstrip to your network;
e.g. a free port on a network switch.
• The plug’s earth contact must only be connected to a standard mains socket with pro-

Software Installation
• After connecting the IP power strip, insert the CD, included in the delivery, into the appro-
priate drive of your computer. If the installation program does not start automatically, run
the program „Amazing.exe“ from the main folder of the CD. Then click on „Install“ and, in
the next window, on „1. Amazing PDU“.
In case of newer CD versions, the procedure may be different.
• Thereafter, Microsoft .NET Framework may be installed (if it is not yet installed in your
operatingsystem) and then the necessary database is installed; this may take some time.
• After the installation is complete, you will find a new item in the Start menu, which you
can use to run the („Amazing PDU“) software.
When you run the software for the first time, the database can be organised, or alterna-
tively, the standard settings can be used (click on „No“ in the choice box, you will thus ini-
tialise the default values, which you can change later).
If you selected the software’s default settings of the software (if you clicked on „No“ in the
previous window), then you must enter a user name („User Name“) and a password
(„Password“). Default setting on delivery is:
User name („User Name“):
admin
Password („Password“):

Configuration
• The default setting for the IP power strip is the fixed IP address 192.168.0.216 (subnet-
mask 255.255.255.0). To access the IPpower strip, the computers in the network must
be set to the same address range 192.168.0.
If the IP address is to be used by a DHCP server, then press and hold the „FUNCTION“
key until 4 beeps sound. Then immediately release the button.
Now unplug the IP power strip for a few seconds from the powersupply and connect it
again to the mains socket. The IP power strip now receives the address from a DHCP
server.
