b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As a consumer you are required (Battery Ordinance)to responsibly dispose of all used batteries and
rechargeable batteries; it is forbidden to throw them away with the normal household waste!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the follo-
wing symbols, they point out that they are not allowed to be disposed of in the domestic refu-
se. The labels for the heavy metals of concern are : Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
You can return spent batteries/rechargeable batteries and button cells free of charge to any
authorised disposal station in your area, in our stores or in any other store where
batteries/storage batteries/button cells are sold.
You will thus fulfil your legal obligations and contribute to the protection of our environment!
